FL: Hurricane

From: devonpeter (devonpeter@yahoo.com) | Date: 2004-08-15 20:47:56 UTC
I am thinking about heading south (from Tampa) to check on boxes
after the hurricane in Sarasota, Lee, Collier, Manatee counties. i
cannot make it to all. If there is anyone that can check on some of
them I will check on the others. I have a sneaking suspicion that
140 mile per hour winds have moved something. Please let me know
which ones you can check.

My husband is in Cape Coral for the next week if there
are any boxes close to there let me know he said if
they were close by he could check them. There may not
be much to check the storm was pretty bad.

'Tis a bitterly sad day, indeed. Please do not read any further. The next
paragraph is not suitable for young children or older persons. In fact, the
only person it might be suitable for is Count Olaf himself--I shudder to say
the name aloud--since only a wicked man such as that could enjoy such
unpleasantness.

News has arrived that Count Olaf may have been in Florida to witness the
destructive power--a phrase meaning billions of dollars in damage and even
more dreadful loss of life--of Hurricane Charlie first hand. The pictures I
have seen on my small black-and-white television flickering in the back of
my dreary cave have convinced me that Count Olaf was in Florida at this time
gleefully enjoying the hurricane.

We can hope and pray he did not survive in such a tempestuous storm, but
until somebody has the courage and resources to search out his hiding place,
we may never know.

With all due respect,

Lemony Snicket

of some of the casualties amd see of they think
it is funny!
